Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Review
14 Aug 2023
The most recent foldables from the Korean manufacturer are cautious, but the Flip still feels like a more significant generational improvement. This is mainly because the clamshell has received a much-needed cover screen improvement, and the new, larger unit significantly increases utility (with some limitations). The Flip5 finally folds flat rather than generating an edge thanks to the other significant advancement in hinge design. That's basically it.
Yes, the Flip5 has a new chipset; it goes without saying that this is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Another very nice upgrade is the base storage, which has been doubled to 256GB. The camera system has undergone a few little changes, but overall it is the same.
In any case, maybe assumptions for troublesome changes are unreasonable, and the Z Flip5 brings a perfectly measured proportion of contrasts and upgrades to make it a commendable replacement. That is the very thing that we'll be attempting to figure out on the accompanying pages.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 UnBoxing:
The retail box for the Z Flip5 contains no surprises. A little stylised image of the handset that is color-matched to the actual device within is displayed on the black box's half-height.
Predictably, there isn't much in the way of accessories offered. With the S21 generation, Galaxies often only come with a USB-C cable after the charger is taken out of the package. That and, of course, a SIM eject pin. But let's turn to the handset, which is where our attention should be.
Conclusion:
With the Z Flip5, Samsung is getting closer to the point where it will soon need to take significant action about the Galaxy Flips, which have been continuously evolving. However, we believe a cover display and hinge will suffice for this year. We'd be pleased to suggest the Galaxy Z Flip5 as long as you either take advantage of one of the early promotions or wait a few months for the inevitable price reductions.
