The two IPhone 16 Pro models will have taller displays

The iPhone X addressed a significant change in Apple plans - the Home button and the majority of the top bezel were eliminated, permitting the screen to upward extend. This flagged the finish of the old 16:9 screens and 19.5:9 turned into the favored number. The iPhone 15 will use the same aspect ratio as the current iPhone 14 series. However, the subsequent one may not.
Analyst Ross Young claims that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will adopt a taller aspect ratio, though it is unclear by how much. From 6.1 and 6.7 inches, the diagonals will increase slightly to 6.2 and 6.8 inches.
Note that we are just discussing the Expert models here, the vanilla pair will trail their overhauls by a couple of years - a Powerful Island this year, 120Hz revive rate in 2025, possible another perspective proportion eventually as well.
In any case, Young predicted that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max would update the Dynamic Island design following the 16 series by relocating the Face ID system beneath the display and retaining only a small punch hole for the selfie camera. This will let loose some room upward, however it will make the Island harder to reach.
