Sony has been on a touch of roll recently with its new ZV scope of vlogging cameras and declared the freshest part today as the ZV-1 II, which is the subsequent age model of the three year old ZV-1. The ZV-1 II lens has the same maximum aperture as the model from the previous generation, which is f/1.8. However, by choosing a wider angle of 18mm, it is much simpler to capture both oneself and the scene around you. The more extensive focal point seems OK, as most video blogs are shot very wide and losing some fax reach is likely not a problem, however the new focal point is a more slow f/4 when zoomed the whole way to its 50mm cutoff. That is as yet a fair tradeoff to be made by keeping up with the ZV-1 II's pocket-ish size.
The new model isn't much better than its predecessor on paper. The biggest change is the wider 18-50mm f1.8-4 lens, which replaces the ZV-1's 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 lens. However, the new lens lacks optical stabilization.
Aside from that, the new ZV-1 II shares the same sensor, processor, display, stabilization, autofocus, battery, and photo and video features as the original ZV-1.
