The South-Korean smartphone manufacturer has announced the dual-SIM variant of its flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone in China. The smartphone model number SM-G9009D is listed on Samsung's official China website as a China Telecom-customised version. For now, there are no details about the availability of the dual-SIM Galaxy S5 in other regions.
The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S5 is for an exclusive to China Telecom and is priced at CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 51,100). It will be available along with the standard editions of the Galaxy S5 starting April 11.
The China Telecom-customised version, the Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G9009D, features the same specifications as of the original - and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. The second SIM supports the CDMA2000 band, and is also seen to add 1.5 grams to the device weight. As of now the Galaxy S5 is a few days away from its global release on April 11.
