Nokia EOS pre-release rumour roundup: Everything you need to know as it happens

The much-rumoured Nokia EOS is currently dominating the online rumour-and-leak-o-sphere as several different sources have brought forward spec details and pictures of this previously elusive beast. We've rounded up all the choicest morsels of these rumours to give you a cohesive look at what Nokia is preparing for the summer.

Nokia EOS: Name

While all current rumours circulating the internet are calling it the Nokia EOS the device will almost certainly not launch under this name. It may, admittedly, incorporate EOS in there somewhere, but you can bet good money the phone will have Nokia’s usual Lumia Windows Phone 8 brand-name and some kind of number designation as per every previous handset it has produced on Microsoft’s software.

Whether that will be some increment on the Lumia 920 and Lumia 925, or a brand new number entirely, isn’t clear. 

Certainly the handset shares the same body design as the Lumia 920. Perhaps we’re looking at the Lumia 950? The name Lumia 1000 has been circulating in leaks and rumours for a while and has on occasion been tied to the Nokia EOS but we’re really not sure about this one, it has an odd whiff about it.
