iPad Mini Retina arrives - UAE Apple store starts taking orders

The much-anticipated iPad Mini Retina has arrived – slightly ahead of schedule on Apple stores in the US, parts of Europe and South East Asia.

In what could be a big surprise, UAE residents can now order the latest iPad Mini officially at the Apple store online.

The next-generation is available in space grey or silver and is outfitted with Apple's A7 processor. The 7.9-inch Retina display offers a 2,048 by 1,536 pixel resolution with 326 ppi. The starting price in the US is $399 for the 16GB WiFi-only version.

Apple has promised to deliver the product in 5 to 10 working days.

The new Retina Mini is already listed on the Apple stores and has a starting price of Dh1499 for a 16GB wifi only model.

Tech Blog MacRumors had reported on Monday that Apple had informed select retailers a day in advance that the new iPad Mini is going on sale in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and the US.
