HTC Butterfly S Goes on Sale in Select Stores in Taiwan and US for $850

Even as HTC One is still ranking high amongst the most well performing smartphones in the world today, the company has released, albeit quietly, another high end smartphone that could be even better in performance than the HTC One and fanatics can now lay their hands on it.  HTC Butterfly S, whose benchmark results show that it has a faster processor than the HTC One, has now gone on sale in some stores in Taiwan and the US, though it is not cheap.
 

Most people do not understand HTC’s release of this ‘different kind’ of HTC One, complete with a different name, unceremoniously launched released in various shops without much hype.  Truth is that HTC intended to make the HTC Butterfly S is a high end smartphone for the Asian market.  In the US and other western markets, HTC will still focus on promoting the HTC One as their flagship phone but those who have a little more to spend and want something with a better processor can walk to stores and get the Butterfly S.  In essence, HTC’s move to sale the Butterfly S in the western markets, specifically the US, is a way to solidify its name following the success of the One.
